Tracy Williams

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Tracy Williams has three decades of experience in private equity, investment banking, debt capital markets, business development, interim executive management, corporate strategy design and systems implementation. A passionate strategist and problem solver, he has aided in underperforming and growth scenarios in more than a dozen industries.

The best part of the job for Tracy is collaborating with colleagues and clients to solve problems as a team, knowing that he is helping create outcomes that are measurable and are making people’s lives better professionally and often personally as well.

While Tracy wanted to be an author and create a positive impact through the written word, he also wanted to help entrepreneurs who struggle with strategy and capital sourcing. As a boy, he often helped his grandfather with his plumbing and electrical business.

Most recently, Tracy led revenue recovery initiatives for both SelecSource Staffing Services and a Pridestaff franchisee, the first of which involved overall operational responsibility as interim president. In this role, he increased sales over 25% by reengineering the sales process, leading a CRM initiative, launching a professional salesperson recruitment program, and acquiring key accounts.

While serving a curriculum development and deployment provider, Tracy led the deployment of a cloud based project management solution and implemented organizational redesign initiatives focused on aiding the company in executing its plans for strategic growth.

In a multi-phase engagement for a plastic injection molding company, he aided the shareholders and a family-office’s lending arm with a disposition plan, comprised of a liquidation through receivership, a UCC Sale and an auction process.

Tracy served as the interim chief strategy officer engaged to develop M&A and strategic alliance programs for Commdex Consulting, a telecom enterprise serving the government and military sectors. After developing and deploying the program, standing up a data room, training the senior management team and building out an integration planning process, several strategic initiatives were completed by the team under Tracy’s guidance.

Tracy’s tenure in the banking, investment banking and private equity sectors of strategic corporate finance is significant, having spent eight years with Wachovia Securities/Wells Fargo Bank as a debt capital markets banker, five years with Key Equity Capital as an investment professional and three years with State Bank & Trust. He also successfully started a mortgage company prior to the downturn in that sub-sector. Highlighted accomplishments during this time include co-drafting the plan for and establishing a tech-focused capital markets practice, growing a media investment banking portfolio by over 20% and leading a banking team to grow a book of business from approximately $200MM to $1B in overall balance sheet exposure.

Tracy successfully led the Chapter 11 turnaround of Buckeye Foods, a Burger King franchisee operating in Cleveland and Atlanta.  He aided an early stage software company to secure several rounds of capital and establish overall operational business practices as interim CFO and board secretary and provided overall support to the portfolio companies of a middle market private equity fund.

Early in his career, Tracy was on outside and inside sales teams for Procter and Gamble and Cargill Corporation, respectively.  He completed an executive education certificate program at the Wharton School of Business, as well as receiving his Series 7 securities license and Certified Treasury Professional designation. He was a military police officer with the United States Army Reserves for eight years.
