David Puma

DIRECTOR

David Puma is a FINRA registered investment banker with more than 10 years of experience as a mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisor, as well as 34 years of experience in commercial finance and corporate banking.

David’s expertise spans finance leadership and operations, sell-side process and marketing, financial due diligence, risk analysis, market valuations and transaction negotiating and closing. When he or his clients are faced with adversity, he always finds a way to succeed.

David was in a rock band in high school and still loves listening to music. He is an avid sports fan and participant, and a two-time Texas state racquetball champion.

Prior to Larx Advisors, David served as a managing director of EBB Group, a boutique investment banking firm, where he served on the leadership team and as project manager. He led several deal teams involved in the sell-side process, from financial due diligence and preparing confidential information memorandums to market valuations, marketing businesses for sale and negotiating and closing transactions.

David started his career with Barclays Bank in 1976 and during his 34-year commercial finance and banking career, he served initially as a risk analyst and eventually as an operations manager with a team of 26 analysts and CSRs responsible for $100 million of annual loan volume and a $500 million portfolio. Beginning in 1999, he served as a business development officer and relationship manager for KeyBank and later Wachovia, which eventually merged with Wells Fargo.

David has also served on the Finance Committee and Advisory Board of My Possibilities, a non-profit organization serving adults with special needs
